Evil Tales, artbook, 82 s. 15x21 cm
The artbook presents collages created over several years. I use original black-and-white photographs and reproductions of artworks, which I juxtapose to create my dreamlike narrative. The collages evoke the atmosphere of nightmares and delusions, and through the use of a gray scale, they can also resemble frames straight out of the first horror movies. The title refers to the concise formula of these works and alludes to short, allegorical literary works whose characters personify human desires and emotions.
On the other hand, it also evokes the world of stories told to children. She adopts the perspective of a child who, in spontaneous play, arranges fragments of images, giving them new expression. “Evil Tales” is a visual tale of anxieties and fears that are born from hazy memories, stories heard and experienced in childhood.
