Interweavings 12.11.2025 – 04.01.2026, c/off, Munich
Bringing together textile installations, collages and moving-image works by Polish artist MagdalenanCiemierkiewicz, Interweavings explores the layered relations between memory, heritage and identity within the Polish Ukrainian borderland. The exhibition reflects on the overlap and dissolution of personal and collective histories, asking how what is shaped at the intersection of cultures can be held and protected.
Magdalena Ciemierkiewicz’s practice approaches fabric as both material and metaphor – a living archive where gestures of making become gestures of remembrance. Her densely worked textiles, inscribed through embroidery, carry the weight of emembrance and the quiet resilience that emerges from acts of care. Interweavings transforms the exhibition space into a contemplative terrain, where memory unfolds as a shared, evolving process, and preservation becomes a quiet form of resistance.
